The way I see it, the best in life comes out of connection, relationships, intimacy. The most take your breath away photographs I’ve ever had the privilege to create are based on that same trust. I’m a family lifestyle, brand & intimate wedding photographer based in San Diego, Ca.

If your kids are showing me their room or we’re exploring the beautiful outdoors together, I’m completely present with them. My goal is two-fold; for them to be free and comfortable and to capture their uniqueness. When you look back at these photos years from now, I want to bring you right back to the fun little things they used to do and the unique, special parts of their personality.

I bring an abundance of warmth and my relaxed nature of photographing families for over 10 years to each session. Above all, I bring my passion to tell your individual story….. all the beauty, chaos and imperfect treasured moments that are family. 

I’ll ask you to look at each other way more than me, tell inside family jokes to one another, snuggle your babies, babies snuggle your mama, your dadda, mamma boggie with your littles. Let’s hang out together, with you as yourselves at home or exploring your favorite spaces. These are all the interactions where love truly shows up.

That moment you realize how tall your teenager has gotten and how she’s surpassing you in height. Your heart skips a beat because you know in a few years she will be off in the real world. (Well, maybe that’s my story). Or the way your little boy climbs into your lap and rests his little body against your chest. You can hear and feel the peace of his breathing. I bring my experience as a television journalist to tell the most intimate moments of your story.

I spent well over a decade in technology business development, which is relationship development its core. Nurturing relationships and bringing out the best in people are my treasured gifts. My goal in each session is to make it stress free so you get to see the magic of your kids playing and just being them unfold. You get to be present and take it all in.

THE MOMENTS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL

At home sessions is where I find children are most… well at home. Let me guess… you might be thinking “but my home isn’t ready for, gasp… a photoshoot.” Don’t worry. As love and beauty unfold in simplicity, all I really need is some sweet window light and you. I confess, I rearrange my own space an unhealthy amount. I might just move a few things around.

If choosing the family wardrobe for our shoot makes you want to hide in a corner and devour a bag of Reeces Peanut Butter Cups (I love them too), I’m happy to be your qualified sounding board. I paid my way through college as a Clinique traveling makeup artist. I also worked as a Stichfix stylist while growing up my kids. I’m available to help you choose textures and hues that will compliment the location we will be photographing in.

I adore every child I meet. Your kids, I have two of my own, so believe me, I UNDERSTAND. Not everyone is always having an epic day. I have lots of fun up my sleeve and silliness to turn things around. The littles and I are typically besties by the time our session is over. Aaand we have FUN, so you can enjoy this time we have together and take it all in with no tight jaws or lingering stress. You worked to prepare everyone for our shoot. I step in so you can enjoy the rest.

  Send me a text of the clothing you are thinking of for your family and I’m happy to help with what colors and style will work best based upon the location we are photographing you and your family in. Beach sessions lend a different variety of colors than cityscape or forest sessions for example.
